Greetings Wolf Mail subscribers and welcome new fans. The band has just returned from Tasmania and what a beautiful spot.

Wolf at the Gilbert Factory in Hobart with a very early prototype "Wolf Mail signature" - Oct 08, 2010

At one of our gigs in Hobart we had the pleasure of meeting luthier extraordinaire Mr Mark Gilbert, who brought in one of his prototype for Wolf to test on stage. Work is now underway for a "Wolf Mail signature instrument”.

The band - Wolf Mail, Jimmy D on second guitar, Paul “Pablo” Stockley on bass guitar and Reuben Alexander on drums –played our first gig at The Foreshore in Hobart. Due to overwhelming demand a second show was added. Legendary cameraman Robert Reibel, known for his work with The Rolling Stones and for shooting daring stories in Antarctica, filmed the concert. Stay tuned for “Live in Van Diemans Land” footage.

Next up is The Basement in Circular Quay. Sydney-siders put this date in your diary. It may be a Wednesday but we’re close to selling out this gig at the show at this iconic venue.

Set up in the early 1970s, The Basement has become an institution among performers and punters. The club has played host to some amazing gigs by people such as Muddy Waters, Prince, Buddy Guy, Taj Mahal, The Neville Brothers, Rufus and Jon Cleary.

Central coast, NSW

The next date in the calendar is Lizotte’s on the Central Coast on 21st October. Brian Lizotte (a relative of Mark, AKA Diesel) has combined his two passions – good food and good music – to establish this gem. Jimmy Barnes, Ian Moss, James Reyne and of course Diesel all play at this beautiful spot. What makes this show even more special is that on this night the band will be showcasing an acoustic set to suit the layout AND it is being filmed for Channel 9 by Aus Idol judge and Wolf Mail fan Ian “Dicko” Dickson.

Ian "Dicko" Dickson will feature Wolf Mail on his upcoming show with the footage to be recorded at the Lizottes club on Thursday Oct 21 - 9pm.
